VFX ProductionHR Manager

VFX Production

At the heart of a successful VFX Company is the artists themselves. It is imperative that a company not only hires the correct people for the production, but also maintains a positive work environment for everyone involved. The Human Resources (HR) Manager is in place to oversee the recruitment and employee administration duties of VFX artists. Their responsibilities may include;

  • The advertising of job roles, targeting the appropriate channels.
  • Collate submissions of CV’s and artist showreels.
  • Organise and carry out interviews of potential team members
  • Establish and ensure the company’s HR policies and practices are kept to.
  • Oversee new employee orientations to the team, making sure they are both understand and are comfortable the VFX companies work protocols
  • Provide assistance to new employees with any relocation needs such as banking, taxation, accommodation and travel.
  • Build a database of potential VFX artists for future contact.
  • Carry out staff performance reviews if required.

Education Routes: A Degree in Film/Television and/or Visual Effects/Animation production is recommended. Bookkeeping and team leader or managerial studies are also a plus.
